What's Going On:

Sabbath April 16, 2022

Welcome to the Five Rivers SDA church Sabbath Service. Whether face-to-face or online, we thank you for choosing to visit and worship with us today.

Our Saturday morning service begins at 9am at our 23-24 Cemetery Street, Five Rivers, Arouca location. When worshipping in person, please come with your masks properly covering your nose and mouth and be prepared to have your temperature tested and your hands sanitized. We also ask that you do not remove your mask while in the church hall or on the church’s compound.

For the month of April, FRSDA church is hosting a 10-part series entitled “Back to Basics: A Review of our Fundamental Beliefs”. Our speaker for this series is Pastor Dr. Andy Manzano and he is here with us every Friday evening from 7pm and Saturday mornings from 10:30am.

Regular weekly services are held on the Zoom platform on Monday mornings at 5AM and on Wednesday evenings at 6PM. The meeting links for these services are available on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) using the handle @frsdachurch. We look forward to having you join us.

This weekend is a busy and memorable one for FRSDA church. Last evening and today we are in church streaming our new series. On Sunday, popularly known as “Easter Sunday”, our 2nd Family Life series will be streamed on local television station, TTT at 2pm. The Family Life series is one of our major annual evangelistic thrusts and it is a privilege and honor for it to be made available to the wider population. For those abroad who would like to share with your friends, the program will also be streaming on TTT’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Those links will be shared on our social media platforms as soon as they are released on Sunday.

Every year in Trinidad & Tobago, the gospel music fraternity holds it own local music awards, fashionably called “GMATT” (Gospel Music Awards of Trinidad & Tobago). This year’s edition, a tribute to the late Jamie Thomas, will be shown on TTT, immediately after the airing of the family life series. We are pleased to announce that our very own Lee Quay Sisters will be ministering at this year’s awards. We congratulate them on this honor and we pray that they will continue to allow themselves to be used for God’s Glory and Honor. So, when “A Fresh Start” has finished airing, don’t touch the remote: let’s support our sisters as they make us and God proud.

Adventist Possibility Ministries, in conjunction with the Orphans & Vulnerable Children Task Force present “Hour of Power: A Prayer Focus” on Tuesday April 19th, 7:30pm-8:30pm on Zoom and Google meet. Come join with Pastor Wayne Sampson and others as they petition the Throne on behalf of orphans and vulnerable children. For more information, see the flyer above.

Pastor Garvin Paul: September 20, 1953 – April 8, 2022

The funeral of the late Pastor Garvin Paul will take place on April 20th at the Mt. D’or SDA church from 2pm. The service will be streamed “live” on the YouTube channel of the South Caribbean Conference given the limited seating capacity of the church and the anticipation that the service will be very well attended. Continued condolences go out to Pastor Paul’s surviving family members: God’s peace be with you all.

On behalf of the Pastor, church board and membership of the Five Rivers SDA church, we send greetings, salutations and congratulations to Elder Edward Fausette on the occasion of his marriage, which takes place tomorrow in his native Guyana. Elder Fausette was stationed here at FRSDA church while completing his studies at USC. After graduating, he returned to his native Guyana. We pray God’s blessings on his future ministry and on his new family.

We remind you that we also continue to pray for you so please, keep sending in your prayer requests! Also, send in your questions for Pastor to answer next week. You can email us at connect@fiveriverssda.org. There is also a link located in the bio of every streamed feature on YouTube.
