EDUCATION DAY
Today was Education Day and we welcomed our special guest speaker, Pr. Onesi La Fleur, VP for Student Services & Enrolment Management at USC. Pr. La Fleur delivered a very beautiful message. If you missed it, you have the opportunity to review it by clicking on this link.
PERSONAL MINISTRIES OPEN-AIR PROGRAM
God is a miracle working, prayer answering God! Last Sabbath the Personal Ministries Department announced a grand open-air program. If you were at church last week, you will know that there was a lot of rain and overcast skies. Fears arose that the program might have to be cancelled due to the inclement weather. However, faith was exercised and prayers were offered. We would like to inform you that not one drop of rain fell during the time of the open-air program. In fact, many attendees received proper sun tans!
ADVENTIST YOUTH (AY)
All are invited to our special AY program this afternoon, beginning at 3:30PM. The topic for this afternoon’s program is “Building on the Unshakable Foundation”. Come be a part of the frank, open discussions which help us to firmly establish our fundamental beliefs.
FRSDA CHURCH OUTDOOR PROGRAM
Next week the doors of the Five Rivers SDA church will be closed. Unfortunately, there will be no in-house or online service. The good news is that the Sabbath service will be taken outdoors! All are invited to join with us at the Leilani Estate, Maracas, St. Joseph for a day of family fun and togetherness on August 30th. COMMUNICATIONS WEEK
Just a couple more weeks before the 2025 Communications Week is here. This year, Communications Week will take place on Wednesday 3rd, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th September. Featured speakers are Petra Pierre-Robertson, Fitzroy Harewood and SCC Communications Director Pr. Edison Williams. You will also experience several spiritually uplifting features that will surely elevate your spiritual ethos to a whole new level. More information will be shared as the time passes.
SABBATH SCHOOL: VISITORS’ DAY
All are invited to our visitor’s day program, scheduled for September 13th, 2025. More details to follow but secure the date and stay tuned for more information.
FAMILY LIFE MONTH
Every year, the FRSDA Family Life Month is a period of time in which the church family is pulled closed together through wonderful, all-inclusive activities that test our faith, patience and love for each other! It’s also a time that we ALL look forward to. This September, the 2025 Family Life Month promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Beginning with the Bible Quiz and culminating in the Family Fun Day, all are expected to come out and have a great time in Jesus! Plan to attend and be a part of each event so that you too can be a winner, just like Uncle Brian.
PERSONAL MINISTRIES: ANTI-CRIME MARCH
Off the heels of a very successful Open-Air service, the Personal Ministries department is beating the iron while it is hot and is inviting everyone to be a part of its Anti-Crime March 2025. This march, a partnership with the Uniform Club of Five Rivers SDA, takes place on September 20th. Come be a part of the prayer stops as we march around the community, saying no to drugs, guns and violence but YES to Jesus.
